Busy Busy Busy

Remember when I used to be good at this blogging thing...sorry I haven't updated, but I'm sure you understand how busy I've been lately. I don't have anything exciting to write about, but did want to update on a few aspects of life and let you know why I've been so busy.

*This past Thursday I had bunco at my house. About nine ladies all came over for dinner and to play this crazy dice game so I was busy cooking and cleaning for that. Overall, I think my bunco night was a success...I feel old talking about playing some dice game with ladies...isn't that what retired women do?

*Clint's been gone since Thursday morning for this ministry called Kairos. It's a prison ministry based in Amarillo and its a weekend long retreat for the prisoners. He gets back tomorrow evening and I can't wait to have him back home!

*Not this weekend but next we're taking our youth group to LTC in Dallas...that big youth convention. We've got lots to do before then, and then the big trip will surely be fun.

*The weekend after LTC my sister is getting married so all the fun festivities for that will be taking place. Clint's performing the ceremony and I'm the matron of honor, so we both have some duties that weekend.

*Our weekends slow down come May but then Lauren is getting married May 20th, then Linds on June 10th. After Linds' wedding I get a week in San Diego for vacation! I can't wait!

*Then summer is in full swing and we've got VBS, mission trips, camps and weekend trips planned almost every weekend. I sort of want to re-think this youth minister gig...just kidding.

*I did have a job interview for the position at Wayland Baptist about three weeks ago, and last week they told me that I was still in the running, but they haven't made up their mind yet. The more and more I work at the bank, the more and more I want this new job.

*But speaking of the bank, it's going ok. For the most part I like my job, but some of the people I work with are very discouraging. I've never really felt a strong calling or tug to pray for someone spiritually as I have a girl that I work very closely with. Everytime I get alone or just think about praying her face pops into my head. Could you perhaps pray for her, and pray that I can somehow be used by the Lord to bring her into a relationship with him? Thanks.

*Other than all that, life is going pretty well. We've got the middle schoolers coming over every Tuesday night, church on Wednesday nights, and the high schoolers coming over every Thursday night. We love what we're doing, but it does get exhausting.

Don't know when the next post will be, but I hope all of you are doing so well, and if we're friends and haven't talked lately...let's do it real soon...I miss adult conversations!
