I wanna go back...

Driving into Abilene on Thursday night, I began to get a bit emotional the closer I got. I was so excited to be on campus again, and seeing many friends that were there as well. Don't judge me, but right before I took the Abilene exit I started singing all of the Siggie songs....in my head of course. Not out loud, don't worry, I'm not that lame. Well...Ros close your ears for this one...I started thinking about the Siggie stomp, and I couldn't remember the words! I was so upset with myself. Don't worry though, my siggie sisters helped me through and reminded me of those precious words.

We had lunch with Bob and Jan on Friday. What special people those two are. The opportunities they have presented are great, so we've got some decisions to make. That afternoon I ended up in Lindsay Hall's office and many conversations lead to another. I can't go into extreme detail, but let's just say that I stayed an extra day in Abilene unexpectedly because of wonderful things Linds Hall did for me. Thanks Linds!

I loved being a bid night again. I didn't love not knowing anyone that's actually in club, but I loved seeing and being with girls that I was in club with. Of course many of our conversations were those of what club was like back when, but those special bonds made in Siggies couldn't be made any where else. It's amusing to me that it took me a few years out of club to actually see and get what club is about. In college, it was about having fun for me. Sure I was with a great group of women then, but the connections I have now are much more meaningful than I would have ever thought...and though it's cheesy...it's because of Sigma Theta Chi. I wish those girls knew how much it really means.

Clint is still away at lectureship, and he is loving being there. He is being fed there, something that was very much needed for him. Our future is looking more and more clear. I want to tell everyone how God has been working, but the sensitivity of the issue is extreme. Know that God has revealed a plan for Clint and me, and that we couldn't be more thrilled. God is good.

Here's a story that happened today at work that I love.....This morning I threw on some clothes that I have purchased since living in Tulia. Clint and I don't make the big bucks and the closest clothing store is about 30 miles away....and it's not The Gap...it's WalMart. So yes, I do much of my shopping at WalMart. I used to be ashamed...not anymore! Today I was getting a copy from the printer and this girl walked by and said..."Kat you look so Banana Republic-ish today." Now, I usually could care less what this girl says...but get this. My shirt was purchased at WalMart, my pants from Target, and my shoes from Payless....haha tricked her!
