Blessings

With everyone posting blogs and pictures about sing song it makes me so sad that I wasn't there, but I did have a fun weekend in Dallas celebrating my sister's lingerie shower. I'll be in Abilene this Sunday for just a bit so I'm looking forward to that.

As you know I've been working at the bank in Plainview for about a month now. At first I really hated it, I wanted to quit after only three days. I put my application in at various other places praying that something would come up soon. After I recieved my benefits package from the bank and could look at all the great things they provide such as insurance and paid vacation, I decided that it was worth it for a bit to stay. The past few weeks though haven't been pretty. I've been annoyed, belittled, and tired to say the least. Some nights I wasn't getting home until 7pm. The management was frustrating and I wasn't enjoying my job...but for some reason I stuck it out...and today it paid off.

My boss came to me and told me that there was an opening at the bank in Tulia and she was going to transfer me there! Now instead of driving 30 minutes to get to work, I literally drive 30 seconds. I don't have to pack my sack lunch the night before anymore because I can just drive three blocks back home to eat with Clint. The money I make now doesn't have to pay for gas just to get to and from work. I am so excited and so thankful.

I've been praying (and know you have to) that I would find peace in my job, and now I have. I actually can't wait to go to work tomorrow and start fresh. Thanks for your prayers, I'll keep you updated on how it all works out.

Hooray! Isn't it amazing how God works in such small details that make a substantial difference in our lives! Eating lunch with your husband is such a small blessing but one that I know you will soak up everyday! When will I see you next?? It's been too long.
