Finally

Life has been so busy lately and obviously blogging has been the last thing on my mind...until now! Blogger won't let me post pictures right now, so those will have to come later, but here's a quick update.

The week before Christmas, Clint and I went to Florida with his family. It was such a great week. We hadn't spent a week together since the beginning of November. Each day we drove our boat out to a different beach and it was simply wonderful. We saw dolphins each day swimming and playing in the ocean, and it was so relaxing to have that week together. On our way back, Clint and I got bumped off the plane to Amarillo from Dallas. Although it was so frustrating, we made it through and decided to rent a car to drive home that night.

Christmas was great with both families as well. It was quick because we had to get back to Tulia to say our goodbyes. Christmas Eve was our last Sunday in Tulia. It was bittersweet. We were sad to leave our good friends there, but are now so excited about the opportunities for us here in Abilene. More on that later.

We made the big move to Abilene on December 30th. We filled a whole rental truck and four other cars. It was so packed, and we were lucky to get all our stuff to Abilene. Oh and did I mention that it was snowing in Tulia when we were loading...cause it was. So now we've been in Abilene together for a little over a week. Clint started classes today, and it's so great.

Our apartment is cute and fits us quite well. We just love living together again. I love not having to drive back and forth, and we LOVED going to Highland Church last Sunday. In our two and a half years of marriage we have never been just participants in worship. We have always been leaders of somesort, and it was different not to be leaders last Sunday. We're looking forward to this new life.

I still can't believe sometimes we're back in Abilene. It's different to live in a town with a WalMart and Starbucks. It's different to have restaurants to choose from, and different being back in a younger community. God is good, and we are thankful.
