Don't give up on me yet!

I know, I'm an awful blogger. But don't give up...have hope! Since it's been quite a while since I last visited my blog, here's a quick update on everything that's been keeping me busy.

1. Although I really do love my new job, it has been a life change for me. In Tulia I would come home at 5 and not think about work one bit until I got there the next day. Our life after 5pm was relaxing and quiet. Now, I don't go into work until 10 or 11 on most days and that's super nice, but I stay until 7 or 8 everynight. By the time I get home at night, I cook super and then Clint's ready to go to bed. We don't get to see each other much, and we haven't adjusted to that yet. I do however, really love my job and the people I work with are wonderful!

2. I took my first recruiting trip to Atlanta, Georgia a few weeks ago. It was my first time to stay in a hotel by myself, rent a car by myself, and maybe even fly by myself. It felt so weird. Luckily David Pittman came along for a few days and was such a help. It's fun to have another state in the territory I recruit. I'm headed to Albuquerque, New Mexico in about a week or so. I really do enjoy talking to high school students about their college decision and why they should consider ACU...I mean why shouldn't you consider ACU???

3. Clint reads all the time. He's really taking this second go round at grad school like a full time job. I think he needed time to mature a bit before he could really take this grad school thing seriously. He comes home and explains deep theological stuff to me at night, I pretend to get it...but I don't. He'll make a wonderful preacher someday...I can't wait.

4. I've been working out at Hendrick Health Club pretty much everyday lately. I don't think I'm going to win the weight loss challenge I have going with a few girls, but my body feels better and I can tell a difference in my health. I tried a new step class the other night...it was awful. I couldn't get a single one of the steps and I think I worked the same leg for the whole hour. They told us if we get lost with the steps, to just keep marching. I was doing a lot of marching...oh and the instructor was 4 months prego....really. That made me feel really good.

5. I'm a new fan of Grey's Anatomy. I started watching it during Thanksgiving and I can't miss a show now. Clint actually likes it too and sometime we argue with what's going to happen next. I'm usually right about that sort of stuff though...stick to your theology, Clint.

6. So that's what's been up. I think my digital camera is having some issues. I would post some pictures of our life here in Abilene, but I can't. So instead, I'll give a shout out to our new friends James and Leslie...and Kaitlyn and Cora too. We love them, and I think Leslie and I might be the same person, except she has red hair. Linds Hall and I have a ball at work together, and I'm so glad she's there to laugh with. Jordan and Katie and I had a girls night the other night...I definitely didn't have those in Tulia. Here's a pic of Clint's family in Florida over Christmas.

Keep reading...don't give up on me yet!

I went to Amarillo this weekend and thought of y'all when I drove past the "richest land and finest people". I don't see you that often, and I don't like it. Oh well, glad to know we're in the same city!! love!

I CAN'T BELIVE IT! An update! I'll send you more encouragement when I think it's time! :)

I am so glad you like your job. I think that is so important especially if your hours aren't the best. I have heard that it is super fun people who work there.

As for Greys...you need to rent the last 2 seasons. It's soooo good! I am like you...constantly predicting. I knew she was going to fall in the water, did you??

So glad yall are doing good! Would love to see ya if we ever come that way!
