The Greatest Homecoming on Earth

I love this time of year...the colder weather, the smell of the heater coming on for the first time, and wearing sweaters to work are my absolute favorite things! I was giddy this morning as I went to work in the cool crisp air! Sigma Gata Kai had a football game tonight and we all had to wear sweatshirts and tights....it was awesome (not to mention that we won too!)

Well....here's my recap of homecoming. To make a long blog short...I'll go with a top ten list...in no particular order though.

1. The Homecoming Musical, Aida! Clint and I went on Saturday night and even though I was dead tired from the day, it was so fun to go! The two leads were amazing and I just love knowing that ACU has some very talented students. I loved seeing students that I recruited on stage as well!

2. I loved the parade. Of course the Squigs were precious and it was so fun to stand with friends and remember when we were in the parade years ago. Don't judge me....but my freshman year at ACU I didn't even know there was a homecoming parade! I woke up in my dorm room that morning to all these girls shouting....I looked out my window and was quite suprised!

3. Of course the football game will make anyone's list! I'm so sad that we lost, but it was an exciting game to watch. Linds, Kenli and I wore our purple with pride and even joined in with school spirit by putting wildcat tatoos on our cheeks! We're cool.

4. I did decide to go to the Siggie breakfast on Saturday morning. I hadn't been to the breakfast since my junior year, and I now remember why. Sorry to say.....but it was lame. I'm never paying money to wake up at 5 in the morning to sit with the girls I see on a daily basis anyway. It only made me more exhausted as the day went on. Linds and I did start hissing at one point though...that was funny.

5. I loved seeing friends that I hadn't seen in quite a while. Shout out to Kenli, Linds King, and Jenny...soo good seeing all of y'all.

6. Both of Clint's sisters were in town for the weekend and it was fun to catch up with both of them. We haven't seen each other since June so it was nice to have them at the house and hanging out with them.

7. Here I am at 7 and can't really think of anything else to put on my list. Overall, I just love ACU Homecoming. Now, if it will just stay cold outside and Christmas will be here before we know it!

8. This is totally non ACU homecoming related, but go check out this blog. http://www.fabulouskblogdesigns.blogspot.com/ She makes the cutest blog designs and I want a free one! Let's cross our fingers that my name gets picked.

Happy Fall Break everyone!

I forgot about the hissing! I think the powers-that-be decided that was hazing when Lindsay and I pledged so we didn't get to do it to you girls. What a random tradition. I was sad I missed getting to see all of you girls, but I did NOT miss paying 15 bucks to wake up crazy early for runny eggs and "lame" entertainment. bleh!
