Ever since Clint and I were married we decided that gifts were not necessary on birthdays or christmas. We enjoy giving others gifts, but would rather spend time with each other on those special days than spend money. So Saturday was my 23rd birthday, and although it did just seem like another ordinary day, my time with Clint was so great.
On Friday afternoon we drove to Amarillo and spent about 2 hours in Hobby Lobby picking out Christmas decorations together for our house and our tree. All the decorations were 1/2 off so I couldn't resist going, and what a great birthday present for me! Clint would rather be shot in the head I think than spend 2 hours in Hobby Lobby, but he did it, and it was such a great gift.
Typically on Saturdays, I spend the morning cleaning our house from top to bottom. Instead of Clint watching football this Saturday, instead together we cleaned the house. I loved spending that time with him as well. I think that the time we spent together for my birthday far out weighed any gift he could have given me. Thanks Clint!
All the way to Abilene today I listened to Christmas music because I'm so excited for the holidays! I can't wait for them to get here. When I go back to Tulia this week, I get to stay for 11 days! Ahh, I can't wait!

I cherish the times I get to spend with Chris, as well. Time makes memories, and gifts just get thrown around. You know? Well, I'm thankful you had such a wonderful birthday! (Did you get my message?)
And, in case you're wondering, I can't wait until Christmas either!!! What kinds of decorations did you get at Hobby Lobby? Are you going with a theme? Hello, you have to share. I love Christmas! haha! Well, love and miss you!
