Wrecked

So yesterday I subbed at Abilene High for one of the physics teachers. I don't know really how I got an A Mrs. Bradley's physics class when I was in high school cause I had no clue what was going on in the class I was supposed to be teaching yesterday. I finally had to go down the hall and ask another teacher to come in and explain the lab to all of my classes. He helped me understand a little, but not enough to avoid what happened later that afternoon.

I was on my way out of the parking lot of Abilene High, remembering what it was like to try to weave my way through the parking lot of my high school, when it happened. I had just left the street light and was barely accelerating when the driver of two cars in front of me slammed on his breaks for reasons unknown. This caused the driver in front of me to slam on her breaks, me to slam on my breaks and then for my nice little Rodeo to slam in to the back of her Explorer. I should have listened in Physics class that day, because if I could have quickly calculated the rate of my speed and the distance I was away from her car, I probably could have avoided the situation all together.

So remember in high school thinking, "when will I ever need to use this information." I guess I could have used it yesterday. Too bad I didn't pay much attention then, or even yesterday in my quick refresher. Hope the rest of the weekend is better.

I am not sure about calculations helping out there, but I do echo Jenny, you are young and hip. Love you and miss you.
