As sand through the hour glass...

Remember how I thought things would slow down once school started again....I was wrong. We are still continually busy. Here's a brief update of our lives...just in case you wanted to know:

1. Our dog, Murphy, got sprayed by a skunk over the weekend. Clint and I were inside and I could smell something coming from the backyard. After a few minutes of us arguing that there was "a smell," I finally went outside to find our poor dog. Clint couldn't smell anything, so he thought I was making it up. When I brought Murphy in, he realized that he was wrong. We had to soak him in tomato juice to get the smell out. I can't decide which is worse the smell of the skunk, or me and my dog covered in tomato juice...both were pretty disgusting!

2. Clint and I started a sexual purity study with our youth group last night. I've got the girls, he's got the boys. I had prayed and prayed about this night with the girls. I knew that they were pretty resistant to even studing this. Last night, my first night with the girls, was amazing! God completely out did himself. The girls were open, and I really think this will be a blessing for all of us.

3. Clint and I are still trying to figure out what's next for us. Although I love being a youth minister's wife, we aren't sure Clint's gifts lie in youth ministry. He's so gifted in many areas, but we are trusting God to take us where we are supposed to be. It's a difficult battle...you could pray ok.

4. The first Tulia football game was last week, and even though the whole town comes out for the games, the team still can't manage to win. The opposing team had two baton twirlers who couldn't seem to get it together either. It was quite the entertainment to see the girls crash into each other and then see the batons come crashing down on top of them. I couldn't contain my laughter!

5. We're going to Abilene in a week, and I'm so excited. If we're friends, and you live in Abilene...let's see each other!
